Commercial Auto Claims Examiner 

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Auto Claims Examiner to join a team. Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications)

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve first and third-party commercial auto claims, including property damage and limited low-level bodily injury.
  • Handle claims involving total loss, fire, theft, glass, and cargo.
  • Evaluate injury demands and manage both represented and non-represented claims.
  • Obtain and review estimates, evidence, reports, and medical records.
  • Establish damages and reserves, process payments, and maintain claim files in accordance with best practices.
  • Take recorded statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses.
  • Investigate coverage issues and draft coverage letters.
  • Present files in roundtable discussions.
  • Obtain and maintain all required state adjuster licenses.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (required).
  • Active adjuster license (required).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience handling commercial auto claims.
  • Experience with property damage claims, including total loss and cargo claims.
  • Familiarity with salvage platforms and vehicle damage appraisal (preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in organizational and computer skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to travel for conferences and meetings, if required.
