Our client, a highly respected national property and casualty insurance organization, is seeking Auto Claims Adjusters to join their claims team through a contract-to-hire opportunity. - Generally 2-3 days in office and 2-3 days remote

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a pending inventory of approximately 80-120 auto claims from intake through closure.
- Investigate coverage, liability, damages, and claim exposure while ensuring timely claim resolution.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, legal partners, underwriting teams, and external parties to support claim investigations and outcomes.
- Identify subrogation opportunities and assist with recovery efforts where applicable.
- Recognize potentially fraudulent claims and refer appropriate matters for further investigation.
- Establish and maintain accurate reserves and issue payments within designated authority levels.
- Utilize claims management technology and data-driven tools to effectively manage claims in a paperless environment.
- Provide empathetic, customer-focused service while handling sensitive conversations and resolving complex issues.
- Maintain thorough documentation to support claim activity, compliance, and file integrity.
- Assist with mentoring and knowledge-sharing among less experienced claims professionals.
- Participate in mediations, arbitrations, or legal proceedings as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of auto claims handling experience, including liability investigations and third-party claims.
- Strong understanding of claim investigations, coverage analysis, and liability determination.
- Experience working within high-volume phone and claim environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and claims management systems; Guidewire experience is a plus.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Active adjuster licensing or ability to obtain and maintain required licenses.
