Job Summary

Seeking a talented and detail-oriented Technical Claims Specialist - Aerospace to manage aviation-related claims with a commitment to providing exceptional service to clients and stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with legal and company standards. This role involves collaborating with underwriters, brokers, legal teams, and other departments to resolve claims effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and assess aerospace-related claims, including but not limited to hull damage, liability, and equipment failure.
  • Conduct a detailed analysis of policy terms, conditions, and coverages to determine the scope of liability and settlement.
  • Investigate claims through interviews, site visits, and coordination with third-party experts as necessary.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including brokers, policyholders, attorneys, and aviation experts, to gather information and resolve claims.
  • Prepare well-documented claim reports and recommendations for management and underwriting.
  • Evaluate claim settlements within authorized levels, negotiating settlements when necessary and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes and developments in aerospace insurance, compliance, and industry trends.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement process improvements for efficient claims management.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Aviation Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Claims Adjuster, with a specific focus on aerospace or aviation claims preferred.
  • Strong technical understanding of aerospace systems, aviation laws, and claims processes.
  • Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with aviation-specific systems is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of international aviation and insurance regulations is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site investigations or client meetings, if required.
