Commercial Lines Account Manager - Small Business
Job Summary
Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a team. This role focuses on managing a generalist book of small business accounts, including contractors, general businesses, and manufacturing clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a passion for the insurance industry, and the ability to learn quickly.
Compensation Package
- Salary: Up to $75,000, based on experience.
- Bonuses: Annual performance-based bonus and profit sharing.
- Benefits: 100% employer-paid medical insurance for employees, 25% coverage for families.
- Raises: Annual inflation and performance-based raises.
Responsibilities
- Manage a book of small business accounts with premiums ranging from $150 to $30,000, averaging $5,000–$10,000 per account.
- Handle approximately 30% new business quoting and 70% renewal business.
- Work with top carriers, including Cincinnati, Westfield, Travelers, Philadelphia, and Encova.
- Utilize the Epic agency management system for account management and documentation.
- Collaborate with producers and team members to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Licenses: Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
- Experience: 3–7 years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience, with a preference for candidates early in their career but with demonstrated expertise.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in the Epic agency management system and general tech-savviness.
- Soft Skills: Strong work ethic, passion for the insurance industry, ability to learn quickly, and excellent communication skills.
- Education: Relevant educational background preferred but not required.
