Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Garage Keeper Claims Technical Specialist – Bodily Injury to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve complex bodily injury claims arising from garage operations, auto dealerships, repair facilities, service centers, valet operations, and other garage-related risks. This role requires strong liability analysis, coverage interpretation, and negotiation skills to effectively manage claims involving bodily injury, third-party liability, and litigation exposure.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial auto liability, garage liability, or bodily injury claims handling and demonstrate the ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Garage-related claims often involve injuries arising from garage operations, test drives, dealership activities, and customer vehicles under a business's care, custody, or control.

Compensation:

• $150,000 - $200,000/year (based on experience)

Responsibilities

1. Investigate and manage bodily injury claims from inception through final resolution.
2. Analyze coverage, liability, causation, and damages related to garage liability and garage keeper exposures.
3. Conduct recorded statements, witness interviews, and scene investigations as needed.
4. Review medical records, bills, wage loss documentation, and other supporting evidence.
5. Establish appropriate reserves and maintain timely reserve accuracy.
6. Evaluate claims for settlement potential and negotiate settlements within assigned authority.
7. Identify and manage claims involving attorney representation and litigation.
8. Collaborate with defense counsel, independent adjusters, medical experts, and other vendors.
9. Prepare comprehensive coverage analyses and claim summaries.
10. Monitor litigation activities, discovery responses, and legal expenses.
11. Identify potential fraud, subrogation, and recovery opportunities.
12. Ensure compliance with all state regulations, company guidelines, and best claims practices.
13. Maintain accurate and timely claim documentation within the claims management system.
14. Participate in roundtable discussions and provide recommendations on high-exposure claims.

Requirements

• 7+ years of bodily injury claims handling experience.
• Experience handling:
  • Garage Liability Claims
  • Garage Keeper Claims
  • Commercial Auto Liability Claims
  • Auto Dealer Claims
  • Third-Party Bodily Injury Claims
• Strong understanding of negligence, liability, comparative fault, and damage evaluation.
• Experience negotiating settlements with claimants and attorneys.
• Knowledge of insurance policy interpretation and coverage analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office applications.
