Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Representative
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Representative to join a team. This role involves managing Workers’ Compensation claims from inception to resolution, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in claims investigation, litigation management, and customer service, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
Compensation Package
- Salary: $95,000 - $120,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of 100-125 Workers’ Compensation claims, including lost time, indemnity, med-pay, and subrogation cases.
- Conduct thorough investigations, including obtaining statements, records, and other evidentiary materials.
- Evaluate and set accurate reserves to reflect potential exposure.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and jurisdictional requirements across multiple states (CA, OR, WA, AZ, ID, NV).
- Collaborate with defense counsel, independent adjusters, and other third parties to resolve claims effectively.
- Provide proper documentation and reporting of all claims handling activities.
- Maintain a high level of service to internal and external business partners.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience handling Workers’ Compensation claims, including lost time, serious injury, and litigated cases.
- Strong knowledge of claims investigation, reserving principles, and negotiation techniques.
- Licensed to handle California Workers’ Compensation claims; SIP certification is a plus.
- Experience in the construction, forestry, logging, or oil and gas industries is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
- Excellent judgment, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Service-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing prompt and effective claims and customer service.
- Willingness to travel as needed, including potential overnight stays.
