Overview

Our client, a well-established and growing Third-Party Administrator (TPA), is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Claims Supervisor to join their team. This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates residing in California. The ideal candidate will bring strong California Workers’ Compensation claims expertise, prior leadership experience, and an active SIP certification.

This individual will be responsible for supervising a team of Claims Adjusters, ensuring quality claim handling, maintaining compliance with California regulations, and driving operational excellence across the claims department.

Qualifications

  • Active SIP certification required
  • 5+ years of California Workers’ Compensation claims handling experience
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience within Workers’ Compensation claims required
  • Strong knowledge of California Workers’ Compensation laws, regulations, and litigation management
  • Experience working within a TPA environment preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a remote team environment
  • Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a team of California Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjusters
  • Monitor claim activity to ensure timely and accurate handling in accordance with California Workers’ Compensation laws and company best practices
  • Conduct file reviews, audits, and provide technical guidance on complex claims
  • Assist with training, coaching, and performance management of claims staff
  • Ensure adherence to client service standards, internal metrics, and regulatory compliance
  • Partner with management to improve workflows, claim outcomes, and operational efficiencies
  • Support escalated claim issues and provide resolution strategies
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
