Commercial Lines Underwriter / Broker (E&S)

Compensation Package
- Base Salary Range: $75,000 – $115,000
- Bonus: Sales incentive bonus plan

Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and grow a book of business in the commercial lines E&S market.
- Manage agency relationships and act as the primary client contact.
- Rate, quote, and bind risks for new and renewal business, focusing on complex accounts.
- Develop and execute marketing plans to drive growth and achieve performance metrics, including hit ratio, retention, growth, and loss ratio.
- Submit underwriting referrals to brokerage facilities and leadership as needed.
- Train and mentor assistant and associate underwriters to foster team development.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in commercial lines underwriting or brokerage, with a strong preference for E&S experience.
- Licenses/Designations:
- Property & Casualty (P&C) license preferred.
- CPCU, CIC, or similar professional designations are highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with standard agency management systems; no specific system required.
- Lines of Business Expertise: Strong knowledge of commercial lines, with a focus on complex, middle-market, and E&S risks.
