Paralegal
Job Summary
A growing auto insurance organization is seeking a full-time Paralegal to support an expanding in-house law firm. This role will assist a small team of attorneys handling insurance defense cases. The ideal candidate will have experience with matters involving No-Fault/PIP, UM/UIM, and Bodily Injury suits.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $60,000 – $90,000

Responsibilities
- Support a team of attorneys with discovery-related tasks, including collecting medical records, preparing medical summaries and chronologies, managing appeals, and assisting with trial preparation.
- Communicate with attorneys, witnesses, and clients to schedule or confirm appearances.
- Review, edit, and update the litigation calendar, ensuring depositions and court appearances are confirmed.
- Draft legal documents and pleadings such as deposition notices, subpoenas, authorizations, motions, and certifications.
- Thrive in a high-volume environment while managing an electronic caseload.
- Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting with strong organizational skills.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- College degree (4-year degree preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Paralegal in Personal Injury or Bodily Injury, with strong familiarity in litigation procedures, case management, and attorney support.
- Experience interacting with the Court, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery; coordinating medical exams; scheduling court appearances and discovery; and managing case defense from inception through trial.
- Paralegal certification or equivalent education/experience required.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Litigation or insurance defense experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and spreadsheet analysis.
