Professional Liability Claims Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a seasoned Professional Liability Claims Manager to join the growing team and oversee a portfolio of complex professional liability claims.

Compensation:

• $170,000 - $200,000/year

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD or advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in Professional Liability claims (E&O, D&O, EPL, or related).
• Prior management or team leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of litigation processes, insurance coverage, and claims resolution strategies.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence, lead, and develop high-performing claims professionals.

Job Description:

1. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professional liability claims adjusters.
2. Oversee investigation, coverage analysis, and resolution of complex and high-exposure claims.
3. Provide strategic direction and technical guidance on litigation management, settlement negotiations, and reserving practices.
4. Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, and risk management teams to provide claims insights and feedback.
5. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
6. Handle escalated claims and act as a technical subject matter expert in professional liability matters.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with insureds, brokers, outside counsel, and internal stakeholders.
