Job Description: As a Total Loss Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for handling and resolving vehicle total loss claims. This role involves evaluating total loss settlements, communicating with vehicle owners, negotiating settlements, and ensuring claims are processed accurately and in a timely manner. You will work closely with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient claims handling.

 

Compensation:

  • $65,000 - $75,000/year (based on experience)
  • 4 weeks of PTO + 9 company holidays

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience handling auto total loss claims.
  • Strong knowledge of auto insurance policies, claims processes, and state regulations.
  • Proficiency in using claims management software and vehicle valuation tools.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and resolve total loss auto claims from inception to conclusion.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to verify the total loss status and determine settlement amounts.
  • Assess vehicle damage and market value to calculate the accurate settlement.
  • Communicate with vehicle owners, repair shops, and other parties to ensure transparency in the claims process.
  • Negotiate total loss settlements with claimants, ensuring compliance with policy terms and state regulations.
  • Prepare detailed documentation and maintain accurate claim files.
