Job Description
The Professional Lines Complex Claims Specialist will be responsible for handling and resolving high-severity claims within the Professional Lines portfolio. This role requires an in-depth understanding of policy language, litigation management, and negotiation strategies to ensure optimal outcomes for both the insured and the company.
Salary
- $120k-140k + /Year (based on experience) + Bonus
Job Description
- Manage litigation processes, including drafting litigation plans, monitoring defense counsel, and attending mediations, arbitrations, and trials as necessary.
- Provide regular updates to clients, brokers, and underwriters regarding claim status, developments, and strategies.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and brokers in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with underwriters, actuaries, and other internal departments to assess risk and provide feedback on policy wording and underwriting strategies.
- Participate in training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to stay current with industry trends and legal developments.
Requirements
- Need to have professional Lines background
- Comfortable handling claims from all over the US
- Handling claims up to $2M
- 8 years in insurance and 5+ in litigation (actively Involved)
- A JD from an ABA accredited law school may be considered as a supplement to claims handling experience Advanced knowledge of claims analysis and adjusting practices
- B.A./B.S degree from an accredited College or University preferred
