Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Specialist to join a team. This role is pivotal in managing the claims process from initial notice to resolution, ensuring a seamless experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing claims at an agency level, not at a carrier, and will possess a strong understanding of commercial property and casualty insurance.
Compensation Package
- Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
- Review and process incoming claims promptly and accurately, adhering to regulatory and company standards.
- Request and track necessary information from customers for accurate claim submissions.
- Investigate and resolve complex claim issues.
- Maintain detailed records of all claims activity, including correspondence and findings.
- Communicate regularly with customers and carriers to provide updates on claim status and next steps.
- Monitor and manage large claims, ensuring continuous communication with insured parties from notification to closure.
- Notify senior leadership of any large claim concerns or issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and complaints.
- Analyze and investigate claims to identify and prevent potential fraud.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual loss run reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Valid resident Property & Casualty insurance license, or the ability to obtain and maintain one (assistance may be provided).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with AMS360 and ImageRight, or the ability to quickly learn these systems.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with leadership, coworkers, insureds, and carriers.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional and tactful interpersonal skills to engage with diverse personalities.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to seek and provide feedback.
