Commercial Lines Manager - Independent Agency - Salary - Up to $100k - Ocean City, NJ
Our client, is a Growing Independent Insurance Agency who is seeking a Commercial Lines Manager to lead their Commercial Insurance Division for their offices throughout South Jersey. They are a family run agency for almost a century. They are a local agency with a broad reach, who has superior service, and are strong believers in a work life balance and continuing education.

Required: P&C (Property and Casualty)
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of commercial insurance agents, underwriters, and support staff.
- Set performance goals, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations.
Business Development:
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new commercial insurance clients.
- Foster relationships with existing clients to retain and expand the business.
Product Management:
- Oversee the selection and pricing of commercial insurance products.
- Evaluate and recommend new insurance products and coverages based on market trends and client needs.
Risk Assessment:
- Analyze and assess the risk exposure of commercial clients.
- Work closely with underwriters to determine appropriate coverage and pricing.
Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensure that the team adheres to all relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Stay updated on changes in insurance laws and regulations.
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and claims.
- Resolve complex issues and escalations.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for the commercial lines department.
- Monitor financial performance and make adjustments as needed to meet revenue targets.
Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Stay informed about competitors and market conditions.
Reporting:
- Prepare regular reports on departmental performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
Training and Development:
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their knowledge and skills.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning within the department
Qualifications:
- Several years of experience in commercial insurance, including roles in underwriting or sales.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of commercial insurance products and industry regulations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in insurance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant insurance certifications (e.g., CIC, CPCU) may be preferred.
Compensation and Benefits Information:
- Salary Range: $100,000 commensurate with experience
- Benefits Offered: Medical, Dental, and Vision
- Up to 20 days of PTO in year one
