Position Overview:

The Commercial Lines Account Executive will serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of commercial clients. This individual will manage day-to-day servicing, renewals, marketing, and coverage placement, with a strong focus on maintaining and growing relationships in the real estate, healthcare, and construction industries. Account size and amount will be determined based on applicants qualifications and background. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary client contact for a portfolio of complex commercial accounts

• Manage policy renewals, coverage changes, endorsements, certificates of insurance, and related service tasks

• Market new and renewal business to carriers and negotiate coverage and pricing

• Maintain strong carrier relationships and stay current on carrier appetite and underwriting guidelines

• Provide consultative guidance to clients on risk management and insurance needs

• Ensure data integrity and documentation in AMS360 and maintain accurate client files

• Collaborate with producers, underwriters, and support staff to deliver seamless service

• Proactively identify opportunities to expand accounts and cross-sell other lines of business

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial lines insurance, with specific experience in real estate, healthcare/nursing homes, and construction

• In-depth knowledge of commercial lines coverage forms and risk exposures

• AMS360 experience is highly preferred

• Strong communication and relationship management skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Active Property & Casualty Insurance License required

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

This role is responsible for the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of high-severity and high-exposure excess casualty claims, including those involving complex liability, multi-party litigation, and large-loss scenarios. The ideal candidate has a J.D. and a strong background in excess casualty claims handling and brings a strategic, analytical approach to claims resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex excess casualty claims from initial assignment through resolution, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze coverage and liability exposures for excess layers, including coordination with underlying carriers and defense counsel.
• Participate in mediations, settlement conferences, and litigation strategy discussions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including underwriting, actuarial, and legal teams to assess risk and loss trends.
• Provide timely and accurate reserving recommendations and updates.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and third-party administrators (TPAs).
• Prepare detailed reports and updates for senior claims leadership and reinsurers as needed.

Requirements

• 8+ years of casualty claims handling experience, focusing on complex liability, excess casualty, excess construction, excess gas & energy, 
• Deep understanding of general liability, umbrella/excess coverage forms, and litigation management.
• Experience with construction, transportation, products liability, or other high-exposure industries is preferred.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple high-severity claims in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree required; JD or CPCU/ARM designation a plus

• $130,000 - $150,000/year (based on experience) + Annul Bonus

As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a critical role in ensuring policyholders receive prompt and fair resolution of their claims. You will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and negotiating homeowner and/or commercial liability claims, providing a high level of customer service throughout the process.

Responsibilities:

• Initiate prompt contact of all insureds/claimants/witnesses on all new claim assignments to conduct thorough coverage and liability/injury investigations. These investigations might require the representatives take in depth recorded statements to investigate coverage and liability/injury claims.
• Ability to read medical records and properly evaluate values in multiple jurisdictions to ensure proper reserve practices.
• Ability to recognize potential subrogation opportunities.
• Review insurance policies to determine coverage and assess the applicability of policy terms and conditions to the claims being investigated.
• Provide clear and accurate coverage opinions to internal stakeholders and insured parties.
• Engage in negotiation with claimants, legal representatives, and other involved parties to reach fair and timely settlements of both 1^st and 3^rd party claims. 
• Maintain detailed and organized claim files, documenting all relevant information, communications, and decisions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in claims handling.
• Demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and keeping all parties informed throughout the claims process.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and be adept at conflict resolution while working in a team environment.  Work well under pressure.
• Able to think strategically, solve problems, set priorities, make the necessary decisions to resolve complex/regular issues/claims

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college or university.
• Must have experience handling Litigated files.
• Capable of working independently without close supervision and ability to effectively manage workload while maintaining diary and focus on claim quality
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in liability claims adjusting.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage issues, and relevant legal principles.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to handle complex and high-exposure claims with a focus on resolution and customer satisfaction.
• Licenses: not required but would be a great bonus (MA, NY, CT, NH, PA, NJ)
• Must have: Homeowners Insurance experience (preferably with a carrier)

Salary/Benefits:

• $85K to $110K (we can be flexible)
