Job Description

Private Client Risk Manager — High-Net-Worth

Location: Remote across the Northeast, with an immediate focus on New York. Opportunities may also be available in Florida, California, Texas, and the Chicago area. Pennsylvania arrangements may vary.

About the role

A growing retail insurance brokerage is expanding its national private client practice. We’re seeking a P&C-licensed Risk Manager to advise high-net-worth individuals and families, helping them identify exposures and develop thoughtful, comprehensive insurance and risk-management strategies.

Candidates with middle-market or standard personal-lines experience who are ready to grow into private client work are encouraged to apply.

What you’ll do

  • Build trusted relationships with affluent clients and understand their households, assets, and risk priorities.
  • Review coverage, identify potential gaps, and recommend tailored risk-management solutions.
  • Assess complex exposures involving homes, automobiles, collections, watercraft, and other personal assets.
  • Coordinate with account executives, producers, and carrier partners to develop and implement client strategies.
  • Support renewal and account planning, including preparation for client meetings and coverage reviews.
  • Help clients navigate claims and other complex or time-sensitive situations.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the brokerage’s private client capabilities.

What you’ll bring

  • An active Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • Experience in a retail brokerage, preferably in personal lines or risk management.
  • Strong client-advisory, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to explain complex coverage considerations clearly.
  • A collaborative, service-oriented approach and interest in serving high-net-worth clients.

Experience with high-net-worth households, family offices, or fine art and collections is a plus. Relevant middle-market or standard personal-lines experience is also welcome.

The opportunity

Help grow a national private client practice, beginning with New York and the Northeast and expanding into priority markets including Florida, California, Texas, and Chicago. Work alongside account executives and producers to deliver coordinated, high-touch service to clients.
