Consulting Actuary
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consulting Actuary to join a team. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid capacity from select U.S. locations (CA, FL, NJ, NC). As a Consulting Actuary, you will lead actuarial and multi-disciplinary consulting projects for a diverse range of clients, including insurance companies, self-insured entities, program managers, and Insurtech firms. Your expertise will contribute to delivering innovative solutions in areas such as rate level indications, class plan analyses, reserve analyses, product development, and more.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $140,000 - $190,000 annually

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage actuarial consulting projects, including rate level indications, class plan analyses, reserve analyses, and product development.
- Perform peer reviews of analyses completed by other consultants.
- Organize and present competitive information in a meaningful format.
- Prepare creative supporting exhibits for rate/rule filings, including explanatory language and interrogatory responses.
- Recommend solutions and alternatives to clients based on data-driven insights.
- Correspond directly with clients to discuss project goals and results.
- Prepare polished, professional, and clear reports to present findings and recommendations.
- Develop proposals tailored to meet clients’ specific needs.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in actuarial techniques.
- Manage invoicing for client projects.
Qualifications/Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of experience as an actuary in the Property/Casualty insurance industry.
- ACAS or FCAS credentials required.
- Commercial lines experience and/or expertise in Workers' Compensation or Medical Malpractice preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Capability to work independently and oversee the work of actuarial consultants.
- High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all deliverables.
