Commercial Lines Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in commercial insurance, particularly in middle-market accounts. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships, handling renewals, marketing, endorsements, and assisting producers with new business marketing. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a focus on delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive benefits package available upon request.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of business with over $2 million in premiums, focusing on middle-market accounts.
  • Handle renewals (90%) and assist with quoting new business (10%).
  • Process Certificates of Insurance (COI), endorsements, and other policy-related tasks.
  • Collaborate with producers to market new business opportunities.
  • Utilize Epic software for account management and documentation.
  • Coordinate with outsourced administrative support (Patra) to streamline processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate service delivery to clients.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and resolve conflicts effectively in high-stress situations.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Licenses/Certifications: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) License is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role, preferably with exposure to construction or generalist accounts.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Epic software is preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, timeliness, personable demeanor, conflict resolution abilities, and the capacity to perform under pressure.
  • Education: Relevant educational background or equivalent work experience.
  • Training: 1-2 months of training provided, depending on experience.
