Job Summary

We are a dynamic and collaborative insurance agency seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Benefits Account Manager to join a team. This role is pivotal in managing the full lifecycle of employee benefits accounts, from onboarding to renewals and ongoing client support. As the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, you will ensure seamless delivery of benefits programs while working closely with producers and clients.

Compensation Package

  • Base Salary: $60,000 – $70,000
  • Potential Earnings: Up to the low-to-mid $80,000 range based on experience and performance

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing service issues, questions, and problem resolution.
  • Manage full account ownership post-sale, including onboarding new groups, completing paperwork, and coordinating implementation.
  • Oversee renewals end-to-end, including data gathering, spreadsheet maintenance, quoting support, and presentation preparation.
  • Support new business placement in collaboration with producers (no independent selling or cold calling required).
  • Administer enrollments, track enrollment terms, and resolve related issues.
  • Maintain accurate client data and reporting in spreadsheets and agency systems.
  • Collaborate closely with producers during open enrollment periods, requiring occasional in-office presence.
  • Work with fully funded plans and some level-funded arrangements in the Philadelphia carrier market.
  • Utilize systems such as Employee Navigator, Epic, and Sensis as part of daily workflow.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities independently.
  • Experience in employee benefits administration, renewals, and client service.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet management and maintaining accurate data.
  • Comfortable handling A–Z account responsibilities in a small-team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, carriers, and internal producers.
