Employee Benefits Account Executive
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employee Benefits Account Executive to join a team. This role is pivotal in managing and leading a portfolio of large-market accounts (1,000+ lives) with a focus on self-funded benefits solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of employee benefits, self-funded plans, and innovative solutions such as Rx, captives, clinical health management, and point solutions.
Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 annually
- Bonus & Incentives: Performance-based bonuses and incentives
- Benefits: Comprehensive health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of large-market accounts (1,000+ lives).
- Lead and own the book of business, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Develop and implement innovative self-funded benefits solutions, including Rx, captives, clinical health management, and point solutions.
- Manage renewals and provide strategic guidance to clients on their benefits programs.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and results.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to provide informed recommendations to clients.
- Travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in employee benefits, with a strong focus on large group lives and self-funded plans.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a book of business as the primary account executive.
- Active Life & Health (L&H) license is required; additional designations such as CEBS, GBA, or RHU are a plus.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of self-funded benefits solutions and large-market strategies.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, with occasional travel as needed.
