Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify, solicit, and acquire new opportunities for commercial insurance products tailored to meet clients' needs.
- Client Retention: Establish and maintain lasting relationships with clients through excellent service and ongoing communication.
- Consultative Sales: Assess client risks, create customized insurance solutions, and offer expert guidance on policies and coverage options.
- Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, industry regulations, and competitor offerings to maintain relevance and competitiveness.
- Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, such as underwriters and account managers, to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
- Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to recommend additional insurance products and services to address clients' evolving needs.
- Compliance: Stay informed about industry standards and adhere to all required regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Licensing: Current state insurance producer license for Property & Casualty required, or ability to obtain licensing within 60 days of hire.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance sales, with emphasis on commercial lines preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to build rapport across diverse client bases.
- Proven track record of effective prospecting, negotiation, and closing sales.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills for managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and insurance industry tools to manage leads and maintain client records.
