Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities for commercial and benefits insurance, building a robust client portfolio.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients by understanding their needs, presenting tailored insurance solutions, and providing exceptional service.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to provide clients with innovative and comprehensive solutions.
- Sales Strategy: Create and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue and growth targets.
- Policy Management: Assist clients with policy changes, updates, and renewals while addressing their insurance inquiries promptly.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal insurance requirements while maintaining accurate records of all client transactions.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including underwriters, claims professionals, and account managers, to deliver seamless client experiences.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Licenses & Certifications: Active insurance producer license for the state of California is required.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in commercial and/or benefits insurance sales or related fields.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills to successfully close deals and meet targets.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Proficiency with insurance sales platforms, CRM software, and other relevant technologies.
- Self-Motivated: Results-driven with the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of commercial lines and/or employee benefits insurance products, policies, and underwriting standards.
