Agency Claims Consultant

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Agency Claims Consultant to join a leading full-service insurance brokerage and risk management consulting firm. This role is responsible for managing the claims process, ensuring timely and accurate communication with clients and carriers, and providing exceptional support throughout the claims lifecycle. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage claim intake and reporting processes from initial notice through carrier submission.

  • Maintain accurate claim documentation, agency management system notes, and carrier communications.

  • Utilize proper activity logging, suspense tracking, and documentation procedures within the agency management system.

  • Assist with loss run requests, data validation, and preparation of basic loss summaries.

  • Monitor claim status and follow up with adjusters to ensure timely assignments and updates.

  • Coordinate claim-related information with Account Management and Risk Control teams.

  • Provide professional and empathetic client service by explaining claims processes and setting expectations.

  • Assist with scheduling claim reviews and client meetings.

  • Maintain strong organization and time management while managing multiple priorities.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license, or is willing to obtain one.

  • Interest in pursuing the Associate in Claims (AIC) designation preferred.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience using an agency management system such as EPIC or AMS360 preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

  • Excellent communication and client service skills.

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $50,000 - $80,000 (commensurate with experience)

  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package.

  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid.
