CA Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster
Summary
Seeking an experienced CA Workers’ Compensation Claims Supervisor with strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of California Workers' Compensation Claims Adjusters.
- Monitor individual and team performance, productivity, quality, and compliance with company standards.
- Conduct file reviews and provide technical guidance on complex claims handling.
- Assist adjusters with coverage analysis, compensability decisions, settlement authority, litigation strategy, and reserve accuracy.
- Ensure timely and accurate claim investigations, benefit administration, and claim resolution.
- Maintain compliance with California Workers' Compensation laws, regulations, and client service expectations.
- Coach team members through performance management, training, and professional development initiatives.
- Collaborate with management on staffing, workflow management, and operational improvements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, defense counsel, medical providers, and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in client meetings and provide claims updates as needed.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of California Workers' Compensation claims handling experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience overseeing Workers' Compensation Claims Adjusters.
- Active California Self-Insurance Plans (SIP) Certificate required.
- Must reside in California.
- Strong knowledge of California Workers' Compensation statutes and regulations.
- Experience handling complex and litigated Workers' Compensation claims.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Compensation Package
- Competitive salary range of $110K – $120K (depending on experience)
