Real Estate & Construction Sales Executive

Position Summary

One of our clients, a top National Brokerage is seeking an experienced and results-driven Commercial Insurance Producer with a strong background in the Real Estate and Construction industries. The ideal candidate will have an established network, deep industry knowledge, and a proven ability to develop new business opportunities while maintaining long-term client relationships.

This role focuses on delivering tailored risk management and insurance solutions to real estate developers, property managers, general contractors, subcontractors, and related businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a profitable book of commercial insurance business focused on Real Estate and Construction accounts.
  • Prospect and generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, industry associations, and strategic partnerships.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify client exposures to recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
  • Collaborate with carrier underwriters to negotiate competitive terms, pricing, and coverage.
  • Present insurance proposals and explain coverage options clearly to clients and prospects.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients by providing ongoing service, policy reviews, and renewal strategies.
  • Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, carrier appetites, and regulatory changes affecting construction and real estate businesses.
  • Work closely with account managers and service teams to ensure exceptional client experience and retention.
  • Meet or exceed sales, revenue, and retention goals established by agency leadership.
  • Participate in industry events, trade associations, and community networking opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial insurance sales/producer experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Real Estate and Construction insurance programs.
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • General Liability
    • Workers’ Compensation
    • Builders Risk
    • Commercial Property
    • Umbrella/Excess Liability
    • Professional Liability
    • Surety/Bonding
    • Contractor and Real Estate risk exposures
  • Proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales goals.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex risks and structure comprehensive insurance solutions.
  • Experience working with agency management systems and CRM platforms.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing book of business or strong industry referral network.
  • CIC, CRM, CPCU, or similar professional designation.
  • Experience with middle-market and large commercial accounts.
  • Familiarity with regional and national insurance carriers specializing in construction and real estate risks.
