Job Summary
A highly motivated and skilled Commercial Lines Team Lead is needed to oversee the success of commercial insurance operations. This role involves leading a team to deliver exceptional client service and achieve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance products, and a proven ability to enhance team performance.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a team in the Commercial Lines department. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Client Management: Serve as a trusted advisor for high-value clients, offering expert guidance on commercial lines products to maintain client retention and satisfaction.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee workflows and processes to ensure timely and accurate handling of policy renewals, endorsements, and new business activities in compliance with company standards.
- Performance Metrics: Monitor team performance, establish goals, and ensure accountability for meeting individual and team objectives.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with other team leads, account managers, underwriters, and relevant stakeholders to drive operational success.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively address and resolve escalated client issues to maintain strong business relationships.
- Training & Development: Provide professional development opportunities to keep the team current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Compliance: Stay updated on industry compliance standards and ensure team adherence to applicable laws and organizational guidelines.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial insurance, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Account Executive experience is preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Licensing: Current valid commercial insurance license as required by state regulations.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with agency management software or CRM tools.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire teams to achieve strategic objectives.
- Customer Service: Strong client relationship management skills with a proactive approach to meeting and exceeding client needs.
- Problem-Solving: Advanced critical thinking and decision-making capabilities to resolve challenges effectively.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to build strong relationships internally and externally.
- Organization: Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
