Job Summary
Seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and results-driven Commercial Lines Producer to join a dynamic insurance team. This role is ideal for an individual who excels at developing relationships, identifying client needs, and delivering tailored commercial insurance solutions. The Commercial Lines Producer will have the opportunity to build a book of business, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and contribute to the growth and success of the agency.
Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition & Retention: Proactively identify and cultivate prospective commercial clients. Build and maintain long-term relationships by delivering outstanding customer service and tailored insurance solutions.
- Needs Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to understand clients’ commercial insurance needs and present comprehensive, cost-effective coverage options.
- Sales & Marketing: Develop innovative strategies to market commercial insurance lines and achieve production goals. Represent the agency at networking events and industry functions.
- Policy Management: Work with insurance carriers to provide timely and competitive quotes, negotiate coverage terms, and assist clients in navigating policy options.
- Compliance: Ensure all insurance products, proposals, and agreements align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the agency's support staff and underwriters to facilitate a seamless client experience. Collaborate across teams to support overall agency success.
- Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate client records in the agency management system and provide regular updates on sales activities and pipelines to leadership.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Valid Insurance Producer license.
- Proven track record of success in sales, particularly in commercial insurance.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to create custom solutions for clients.
- Knowledge of commercial lines insurance products and risk management strategies.
- Proficiency in agency management software and CRM systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in insurance sales or a related field is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and industry certifications.
- Willingness to travel locally as needed for client meetings and networking events.
