Commercial Lines Agent (Hybrid)
Job Summary
Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Agent to join a dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in writing, servicing, and marketing commercial lines products. The position offers a hybrid work environment, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work with multiple well-known carriers. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving sales and managing accounts, with a focus on contractors, electricians, plumbers, interior designers, family daycare providers, cargo, and freight accounts.
Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $55,000 – $60,000 annually + bonus opportunities

Responsibilities
- Write and service commercial lines insurance policies, achieving a monthly premium target of $50,000–$55,000 from agency-provided leads.
- Generate additional leads and build a personal book of business.
- Interpret contracts, including reviewing clauses, adding endorsements, and vetting prospects.
- Quote new and renewal business using Vertafore QQ Catalyst and Agency Zoom software.
- Collaborate with team members and attend client luncheons and meetings as required.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service while managing client relationships.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Licensure: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license is required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lines insurance (10 years preferred).
- Proven track record in sales and production, with the ability to meet and exceed premium targets.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Vertafore QQ Catalyst (Management System) and Agency Zoom (CRM).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial lines products and experience working with contractors, electricians, plumbers, interior designers, family daycare providers, cargo, and freight accounts.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel to the Manassas, VA office as needed.
- No existing non-compete agreements that would restrict employment in this role.
