Senior Analyst / Analyst, ERM

A leading global commercial insurance organization is seeking an Actuarial Analyst or Senior Analyst to join its Enterprise Risk Management team. This opportunity is well suited for students or ACAS candidates who want exposure to casualty risk, capital analysis, and enterprise level decision making in a collaborative and supportive environment.
This role provides hands on analytical experience, visibility to senior leadership, and structured development for candidates pursuing actuarial credentials.
About the Role
The ERM team supports the identification, measurement, and communication of insurance risk, capital, and emerging risks across U.S. and international business units. Analysts on this team work closely with actuaries and catastrophe modelers to support casualty accumulation, risk assessment, and capital analysis.
This is an excellent role for candidates early in their actuarial careers who want to deepen their understanding of how pricing, underwriting, and portfolio risk connect to capital and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Casualty Accumulation
- Support automation and improvement of casualty data pipelines
- Analyze accumulation by insured, line of business, and industry
- Create visualizations and summaries to support business and leadership discussions
Emerging Risk Monitoring
- Assist with analysis of cyber risk and climate related exposures
- Support research on artificial intelligence and other emerging risks
- Help develop casualty event scenarios to illustrate tail risk impacts
Risk Assessment and Group Reporting
- Contribute to risk assessments across domestic and international business units
- Support preparation of group level ERM reports
- Assist international teams with documentation and reporting alignment
Capital Assessment
- Support stress testing, solvency analysis, and capital projections
- Assist with group capital allocation analysis
What We Are Looking For
- Actuarial students or early career professionals with two or more years of insurance experience
- Background in actuarial science, risk, analytics, or related quantitative roles
- Progress toward ACAS designation preferred
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to connect analysis to business and capital implications
- Excellent Communication skills
- Comfortable working with data and learning new tools
- Proficiency in Excel with interest in automation and analytics
- Familiarity with programming concepts such as functions and loops
- Bachelor’s degree or higher

Compensation
