Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Developer to join our technology team and support the design, configuration, and deployment of enterprise-scale insurance solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter, with hands-on experience in configuration, integration, rating, and business rules. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex projects that directly impact operational efficiency and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and enhance Guidewire applications using GOSU, with a focus on UI components, product model, business rules, and integrations.

• Build and implement SOAP/REST-based integrations with third-party services and internal systems.

• Develop rating models and underwriting rules tailored to evolving business needs.

• Implement Guidewire messaging, batch processes, plug-ins, and APIs to ensure seamless system communication.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, architects, and stakeholders within an Agile environment.

• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and reusable assets.

• Provide development support during testing, deployment, and post-production stabilization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Guidewire development experience.

• Proficiency in GOSU, Java, and Guidewire Studio across multiple modules.

• Strong background building integrations and configuring rating engines.

• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and using tools such as JIRA, Git, Jenkins, and Postman.

• Familiarity with insurance domain concepts, including policy administration, billing, and claims workflows.

Preferred Certifications
Guidewire certifications are highly desirable, particularly in configuration, integration, UI, rating, and rules development.

Deliverables

• End-to-end Guidewire configurations (UI, rating, product model, business rules).

• Robust and secure API integrations with external and internal systems.

• GOSU-based implementations for messaging, batch processes, and plug-ins.

• Comprehensive technical documentation, unit test cases, and deployment-ready code.

• Post-deployment support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Guidewire Cloud implementations or upgrades.

• Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with digital portals, document generation, or claims workflow solutions.

• Understanding of compliance, data privacy, and security considerations in insurance technology.
