Job Summary

Seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and client-focused Employee Benefits Account Manager to join a team. In this role, you will provide exceptional support and guidance to clients regarding their employee benefits programs. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients, managing client benefit plans, and ensuring organizational compliance with applicable regulations. This is a collaborative role that requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact for managing employee benefits programs.
  • Partner with clients to review and assess their benefits needs, provide recommendations, and propose customized solutions that align with their goals.
  • Facilitate the implementation and renewal of employee benefits plans, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and other voluntary programs.
  • Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of services and resolution of client-related issues.
  • Ensure benefit plan compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., ACA, HIPAA, ERISA), keeping clients informed of updates and changes in the industry.
  • Help clients analyze benefit utilization data and trends, offering insights to maximize the value of their programs.
  • Conduct employee benefits presentations, workshops, and/or webinars to improve client understanding of their offerings.
  • Provide administrative support, such as preparing plan documents, processing enrollments/renewals, and resolving billing or claim issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in the account management process, identifying efficiencies to better serve clients.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 3+ years of account management experience in employee benefits.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining client relationships with a client-first attitude.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits products, plan designs, administration, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple clients and priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with benefits administration software/systems.
  • Holds an active L&H (Life and Health) insurance license.
