Job Summary
Seeking an Excess & Surplus (E&S) Broker to manage and expand a diverse portfolio of accounts. This production-focused role involves developing agency partnerships, delivering tailored quotes for new submissions, and building out a robust renewal book.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with retail agencies and wholesale partners
- Prepare and submit E&S quotes for new business, ensuring competitive terms
- Develop and manage a book of renewal submissions to maximize retention
- Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate binding authority and policy terms
- Represent the firm at industry conferences and networking events
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes impacting E&S lines
Qualifications/Requirements
- Active Property & Casualty and Surplus Lines licenses
- Proven experience in a production role within E&S or specialty lines
- Familiarity with both binding authority and brokerage functions
- Generalist background preferred; experience in Property, Cannabis, Cyber, or Builders Risk is a plus
- Strong consultative communication skills and entrepreneurial drive
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Willingness/ability to travel as needed for industry networking events
Compensation Package
- Compensation: Between $60K–$75K (based on experience) + Commission
