About the Company:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Claims with deep expertise in Commercial Auto to lead and scale a high-performing claims operation. This individual will be responsible for setting the vision and strategy for claims handling, ensuring compliance, driving operational efficiency, and delivering a world-class customer experience. 

COMPENSATION:

  • $160,000 - $180,000/year

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of progressive claims experience, with a strong focus on Commercial Auto.
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership or executive role overseeing large claims teams.
  • Deep knowledge of auto liability, physical damage, subrogation, and litigation management.
  • Proven track record of driving operational improvements and strategic initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven decision-maker.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or industry certifications (e.g., CPCU, AIC) a plus.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Commercial Auto claims division.
  2. Oversee claims operations, including intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, and litigation management.
  3. Develop and implement best practices for claims handling, reserving accuracy, and cycle time improvement.
  4. Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  5. Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, and legal teams to ensure alignment on risk strategy and outcomes.
  6. Drive performance metrics, KPIs, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  7. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of claims leaders and adjusters.
  8. Manage vendor relationships, including defense counsel and independent adjusters.
  9. Stay ahead of industry trends, technology, and regulatory changes impacting commercial auto claims.
