About the Company:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Claims with deep expertise in Commercial Auto to lead and scale a high-performing claims operation. This individual will be responsible for setting the vision and strategy for claims handling, ensuring compliance, driving operational efficiency, and delivering a world-class customer experience.
COMPENSATION:
- $160,000 - $180,000/year

REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of progressive claims experience, with a strong focus on Commercial Auto.
- 5+ years in a senior leadership or executive role overseeing large claims teams.
- Deep knowledge of auto liability, physical damage, subrogation, and litigation management.
- Proven track record of driving operational improvements and strategic initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven decision-maker.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or industry certifications (e.g., CPCU, AIC) a plus.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Commercial Auto claims division.
- Oversee claims operations, including intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, and litigation management.
- Develop and implement best practices for claims handling, reserving accuracy, and cycle time improvement.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, and legal teams to ensure alignment on risk strategy and outcomes.
- Drive performance metrics, KPIs, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of claims leaders and adjusters.
- Manage vendor relationships, including defense counsel and independent adjusters.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, technology, and regulatory changes impacting commercial auto claims.
