Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Underwriting Support Specialist to provide critical administrative and operational support to our underwriting team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth handling of new business submissions, renewals, endorsements, and documentation flow. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an insurance operations or underwriting support capacity, strong technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
COMPENSATION:
- $20/hr. - $25/hr.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of experience in underwriting support, insurance operations, or related administrative role.
- Familiarity with commercial or personal lines underwriting practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document handling.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook, and Word).
- Experience with underwriting or policy systems (e.g., Guidewire, Applied, Duck Creek, or carrier-specific platforms).
- Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist underwriters by preparing and reviewing applications, loss runs, and required documentation.
- Enter and update policy information into underwriting and policy administration systems.
- Monitor submission inboxes and ensure timely assignment and processing of new business.
- Request additional information from agents or brokers as needed to complete underwriting files.
- Generate and issue quotes, proposals, binders, and policy documentation as directed.
- Track and manage pending items, including subjectivities and outstanding documentation.
- Ensure data accuracy and completeness in all underwriting files.
- Communicate professionally with agents, underwriters, and internal departments to support underwriting operations
