Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow and retain a book of commercial business
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders
- Identify client needs and recommend appropriate insurance products and services
- Negotiate policy terms and conditions with carriers to ensure comprehensive coverage at competitive rates
- Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to provide informed advice to clients
- Collaborate with underwriters, claims professionals, and other team members to deliver exceptional service to clients
- Meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Commercial Lines Account Executive or similar role
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and underwriting principles
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in insurance industry software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Current state-issued insurance license or willingness to obtain one

Day-to-day
- Meeting with clients to assess their insurance needs and provide personalized recommendations
- Researching coverage options and market trends to stay informed and competitive
- Collaborating with underwriters to secure appropriate coverage for clients
- Communicating with carriers to negotiate terms and conditions for policies
- Proactively identifying opportunities to cross-sell and upsell insurance products
- Analyzing market data to identify potential new business opportunities
- Attending industry events and networking with potential clients and partners
- Collaborating with team members to optimize processes and deliver exceptional service to clients
