Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow and retain a book of commercial business
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders
  • Identify client needs and recommend appropriate insurance products and services
  • Negotiate policy terms and conditions with carriers to ensure comprehensive coverage at competitive rates
  • Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to provide informed advice to clients
  • Collaborate with underwriters, claims professionals, and other team members to deliver exceptional service to clients
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Lines Account Executive or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and underwriting principles
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in insurance industry software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Current state-issued insurance license or willingness to obtain one

Day-to-day

  • Meeting with clients to assess their insurance needs and provide personalized recommendations
  • Researching coverage options and market trends to stay informed and competitive
  • Collaborating with underwriters to secure appropriate coverage for clients
  • Communicating with carriers to negotiate terms and conditions for policies
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to cross-sell and upsell insurance products
  • Analyzing market data to identify potential new business opportunities
  • Attending industry events and networking with potential clients and partners
  • Collaborating with team members to optimize processes and deliver exceptional service to clients
