Commercial Lines Account Manager
Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Commercial Lines Account Manager with experience in claims handling, policy renewals, and new business sales. This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, along with previous experience in Surplus Lines. The ideal candidate will excel in customer service, data entry, and maintaining agency management systems, supporting both inbound and outbound sales efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage claims and payment assistance processes efficiently.
- Review policy renewals, assess coverage needs, and ensure timely pricing and delivery.
- Support new business sales by sourcing opportunities, preparing quotes, and delivering presentations.
- Complete Acord and Application forms accurately and on time.
- Handle inbound and outbound sales and service calls professionally.
- Maintain data integrity through accurate data entry and updates in the agency management system.
- Assist with daily departmental tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate effectively with MGAs and underwriters to facilitate seamless transactions.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, insurance carriers, and team members.
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of various insurance products and demonstrates the ability to provide expert advice to clients.
- Experienced in building and maintaining positive client relationships, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Holds an active Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance License.
- Preferred Agency Management System Experience: Epic
- 5+ years of relevant insurance industry experience preferred.
- Previous Surplus Lines experience is required.
- Holds at least one professional designation or has comparable job experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook – required.
- Above average computer skills with the capacity to master essential software programs.
- Ability to learn new skills quickly and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
