Trucking Insurance Producer

Job Summary

Seeking a dynamic and results-driven Trucking Insurance Producer to join a boutique insurance agency. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a passion for building relationships and driving new business in the trucking and transportation insurance sector. You will work with medium to large fleet accounts, focusing on providing tailored insurance solutions to meet the unique needs of a clients. This position offers flexibility, with options for remote, hybrid, or in-office work arrangements, depending on the candidate's preferences and qualifications.

Compensation Package

• Competitive Compensation: Unlimited earning potential with a commission-based structure. Base salary plus commission available for less experienced candidates.
• Flexibility: Remote, hybrid, or in-office options available for the right candidate.
• Equipment: Laptop and phone may be provided for remote employees.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with trucking and fleet clients, focusing on accounts with annual premiums of $250,000 and above.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the trucking/transportation insurance market.
• Provide expert advice on insurance products, including Auto Liability, Cargo, Physical Damage, Excess, Umbrella, and related lines.
• Collaborate with the sales and underwriting teams to deliver tailored insurance solutions.
• Stay informed on FMCSA rules, SAFER/CAB, fleet underwriting requirements, and trucking-specific insurance regulations.
• Conduct client visits, including meetings with fleet owners and safety managers, to strengthen relationships and close deals.
• Utilize Salesforce to manage client relationships and track sales activities.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Licensing: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3+ years of proven success in producing trucking/transportation insurance (preferably long-haul).
  • Demonstrated track record of closing large accounts and consistently exceeding production goals.
  • Experience working with medium to large fleets (20-25 trucks and up).
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of AL, APD, MTC, Cargo, GL, Umbrella, and related lines.
• Skills:
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complex accounts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a "go-getter" attitude.
• Education: Open to candidates ranging from fresh college graduates to senior-level professionals.
