Underwriting Assistant
Job Summary
Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to support underwriting operations in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

Provide administrative and operational support to underwriters throughout the underwriting process.

Assist in preparing, reviewing, and processing underwriting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Communicate with brokers, carriers, and internal team members to address inquiries and facilitate underwriting activities.

Maintain accurate records and perform timely data entry within underwriting systems.

Track and monitor underwriting activities to ensure deadlines and operational objectives are met.

Support the review of submissions, policy documentation, and other underwriting-related materials.

Collaborate with underwriters to identify and resolve documentation discrepancies.

Participate in team discussions and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Assist with additional underwriting support tasks as needed to maintain efficient daily operations.
Qualifications/Requirements

Previous experience in underwriting, insurance operations, or a related field preferred.

Familiarity with insurance carriers, Managing General Agents (MGAs), and binding underwriting processes is a plus.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.

Compensation Package

Base Salary: $60,000 – $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
