Commercial Lines Technical Assistant

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Commercial Lines Technical Assistant to support a Commercial Lines team. This role is responsible for assisting with policy servicing, certificate processing, account documentation, and other administrative functions that help ensure accurate and efficient client service.

The ideal candidate will have prior Commercial Lines insurance experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment. This is an onsite position with opportunities for continued professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Issue standard certificates of insurance using approved templates and verify certificate holder information for accuracy.

  • Handle custom certificate wording and time-sensitive certificate requests.

  • Review certificates for accuracy and resolve discrepancies involving certificate holders, carriers, or policy information.

  • Enter and maintain accurate policy and client data in AMS360.

  • Process endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, audits, and other policy servicing transactions.

  • Review endorsements and policy documents for accuracy and completeness.

  • Support Account Managers throughout renewal cycles, including obtaining loss runs and assisting with exposure information.

  • Assist with preparation of quote summaries and other account documentation as needed.

  • Complete assigned servicing and processing tasks within established turnaround expectations.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and filing in accordance with agency procedures.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.

  • Prior experience in a Commercial Lines insurance support, servicing, or account management role.

  • Experience with AMS360 required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Additional insurance education, certifications, or professional designations are a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $45,000 – $70,000 annually, depending on experience

  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package

  • Profit-Sharing: Eligibility available after meeting applicable tenure requirements

  • Work Arrangement: Onsite
