Job Summary
Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Binding Underwriter specializing in Transportation, with a particular emphasis on smaller fleets (10 units or less). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing a profitable book of business, strong carrier relationships, and a well-defined go-to-market strategy. This role requires a self-starter with a sales mindset and specialized industry knowledge.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $80,000 - $200,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a profitable book of business within the transportation sector, focusing on smaller fleets (10 units or less).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers to ensure competitive offerings and market access.
- Implement a go-to-market strategy to drive growth and establish a strong presence in the transportation underwriting space.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver tailored solutions to clients.
- Leverage industry connections and retail following to generate new business opportunities.
- Stay informed on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Proven experience in binding underwriting, with a specialization in transportation and smaller fleets.
- Established carrier relationships and a demonstrated ability to develop and execute a go-to-market strategy.
- Strong industry connections and a track record of building and maintaining a profitable book of business.
- Self-starter with a sales-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with relevant experience in customer service, sales, or the restaurant industry are also encouraged to apply.
