Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Claims Advocate to serve as the primary point of contact for clients requiring assistance with claims and insurance-related matters. This role involves acting as a liaison between clients, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure claims are processed efficiently and equitably. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of agency claims processes and a commitment to providing excellent service.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients in initiating, managing, and resolving claims, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on agency claims, navigating policies and coverage to effectively advocate for client needs.
  • Liaise between clients, insurance carriers, adjusters, and other key stakeholders to facilitate timely and fair claim resolutions.
  • Monitor claim statuses and provide regular updates to clients, addressing potential issues or delays promptly and professionally.
  • Educate clients on policies, coverage options, and claim processes to empower informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client inquiries and issues are resolved in alignment with company policies.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, fostering trust and loyalty.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client communications, claims statuses, and related activities per compliance requirements.
  • Stay updated on changes in insurance regulations, policies, and industry trends to better serve clients.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in agency claims or a related role with a proven track record of effective claims handling.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance policies, practices, and procedures, particularly related to claims advocacy and resolution.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to empathize with clients and deliver clear, concise information.
  • Proven organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple claims and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to ensure accurate and timely claim resolutions.
  • Proficiency with relevant software and technology, including claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Insurance license (state-specific, if required) or ability to obtain one within a designated time frame.
