Job Summary

Seeking a dynamic and experienced Employee Benefits Sales Leader to join a team. This leadership role is pivotal in driving the success of Employee Benefits division, overseeing a team of producers and service staff while fostering growth and excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in building and managing a successful book of business, with a strong emphasis on self-funded accounts. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to step into a leadership role with significant impact and visibility.

Compensation Package

  • Base Salary: $300,000 - $400,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Bonus Structure: Performance-based bonuses available

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of approximately 30-35 professionals, including 25 service staff and 8 producers
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and strategic guidance to the sales team to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Oversee a portfolio of accounts ranging from 200 to 1,000 average lives, with a focus on self-funded accounts
  • Collaborate with local leadership and other stakeholders to align sales strategies with organizational goals
  • Drive the development of new business opportunities while ensuring the retention and satisfaction of existing clients
  • Participate in a multi-stage interview process to identify and onboard top talent for the team
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and competitiveness

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proven track record as a producer, having built a book of business generating over $1 million in revenue within the Employee Benefits space
  • Extensive experience with self-funded accounts is essential
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, team members, and leadership
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • Licensure and designations relevant to the Employee Benefits industry are preferred
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Employee Benefits sales or a related field
