Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Insurance Account Manager to maintain and grow a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts. The role involves collaborating with clients, carriers, and internal teams to deliver tailored insurance solutions that address complex business needs. Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, ensuring client requirements are met with precision.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to deeply understand their businesses, goals, and risk exposures.
- Negotiate terms, coverage, and pricing with insurance carriers to align with client objectives.
- Provide expert guidance on insurance policies, renewals, claims processes, and risk management strategies.
- Process policy changes, endorsements, and updates accurately and promptly.
- Conduct account reviews to assess coverage adequacy and identify opportunities for additional solutions.
- Oversee a seamless renewal process, including proposal preparation and documentation for client review.
- Monitor market trends, carrier products, and emerging risks to inform clients about new solutions proactively.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior team members by sharing insights and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable insurance laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commercial insurance account management or a related field.
- Knowledge of various commercial insurance products, including property, liability, and workers' compensation coverage.
- Valid insurance license(s) as required by state regulations (e.g., P&C license).
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Proven negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing multiple accounts and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex concepts effectively.
- Proficiency in insurance management systems and tools (e.g., AMS360, EPIC).
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
