Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with commercial clients to understand their unique insurance needs and recommend tailored coverage solutions.
  • Develop and execute proactive strategies to generate new business opportunities and expand the agency's client base.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure that clients fully understand their policies, terms, and coverage options.
  • Collaborate with underwriters and carriers to negotiate competitive terms and customized coverage for clients.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, evolving regulations, and emerging risks to ensure clients remain informed and adequately protected.
  • Conduct policy reviews and renewals, ensuring up-to-date coverage and identifying opportunities for additional products or services.
  • Meet or exceed sales and performance goals through effective time management, prospecting, and account retention strategies.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, networking functions, and community engagements to enhance visibility and build professional connections.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, including client interactions, submissions, and policy details.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
  • Proven sales or business development experience in commercial lines insurance or a related industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse clientele.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to present tailored insurance solutions to meet client needs.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other insurance-related tools and systems.
  • Deep understanding of commercial insurance products, policies, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Ability to analyze risk exposures and provide sound recommendations.
  • Familiarity with local markets and industries is highly desirable.
