Commercial Lines Account Manager (Hybrid)
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager (CLAM) to join a growing boutique agency. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a local, independently owned company that offers a wide range of carriers and the flexibility of a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate will bring a stable and steady background, preferably from a larger agency, and will thrive in a client-facing role managing a diverse portfolio of accounts.
Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $80,000 - $100,000, depending on experience.
- Bonus Structure: Profit-sharing bonus after 12 months, including a percentage of the agency commission on the assigned book of business. Total compensation could reach an additional $10,000 - $15,000 annually.
- Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance.
- Work Environment: Hybrid work model with one in-office day per week (Tuesdays).
Responsibilities
- Manage a book of business valued at $5.8 million, consisting of approximately 40 accounts with an average account size of $250,000.
- Service accounts in industries such as condos, heavy construction, apartments, and flood.
- Handle general account servicing tasks, including quoting new and renewal business.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure claims and Certificates of Insurance (COIs) are handled efficiently.
- Utilize EPIC software for account management and documentation.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and exceptional service.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Licensure: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, with large market experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EPIC software is essential.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with managing accounts in construction, real estate, and flood insurance sectors.
- Soft Skills: Strong client-facing abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to account management.
- Work Schedule: Must be available to work in-office one day per week (Tuesdays).
