Employee Benefits Producer
Location: Greater Philadelphia Area, PA
Department: Employee Benefits / Group Insurance
Reports To: Sales Manager or Employee Benefits Practice Leader
Status: Full-Time
Position Summary
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Employee Benefits Producer to drive new business development and revenue growth throughout the Greater Philadelphia market. The ideal candidate is a consultative sales professional with experience in employee benefits, group health insurance, or insurance brokerage services. This role is responsible for identifying prospects, developing client relationships, presenting employee benefit solutions, and building a profitable book of business. The Producer will partner with internal service teams to deliver exceptional client experiences and long-term retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve annual production goals.
- Prospect and generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, community involvement, cold outreach, and industry events.
- Conduct needs assessments with business owners, HR leaders, and executive teams.
- Design and present customized employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary benefits, and wellness solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through proposal, negotiation, closing, and implementation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carrier representatives, referral partners, and centers of influence.
- Collaborate with account management and service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing client satisfaction.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate CRM documentation.
- Stay current on market trends, carrier products, compliance requirements, and regulatory changes affecting employee benefits programs.
- Represent our client at networking events, trade associations, and professional organizations throughout the Philadelphia region.
Qualifications
Required
- Active Pennsylvania Life & Health Insurance License
- 3+ years of successful sales experience in employee benefits
- Proven track record of generating new business and meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the Greater Philadelphia area.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field.
- Experience selling group health and ancillary benefits products.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar systems.
- Established network of business relationships within the Philadelphia market.
- Knowledge of ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other employee benefits regulations.
