Underwriting Operations Technician
Job Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented and organized Underwriting Operations Technician to join a team. This role is integral to supporting an underwriting team by processing policies, endorsements, and quotes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement after an initial onsite training period.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $40,000 - $58,000 annually

Responsibilities
- Process policies, endorsements, and quotes to support the underwriting team.
- Review applications and policy change requests for accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize internal systems and rating tools to rate new and renewal business.
- Calculate premiums for new business, endorsements, cancellations, and payment plans.
- Assist underwriters with quotes, renewals, and policy modifications.
- Apply ISO, NCCI, and related manuals for rating and policy interpretation.
- Maintain proficiency in company systems and underwriting tools.
- Communicate with underwriting staff to resolve questions or discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of policy transactions.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Prior experience in commercial property and casualty (P&C) insurance is preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO and NCCI guidelines and regulations is a plus.
- Experience with insurance rating and policy systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret policy language effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
