Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will act as the primary contact for clients, providing excellent service while managing a portfolio of commercial accounts. Responsibilities include ensuring client satisfaction, fostering strong relationships, and delivering customized insurance solutions to meet client needs. Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee an assigned portfolio of commercial lines insurance accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients, addressing inquiries promptly and accurately while developing and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess insurance needs, review policies, recommend appropriate coverages, and manage renewal processes.
  • Partner with insurance carriers, underwriters, and internal teams to negotiate terms, acquire quotes, and resolve coverage or claim-related issues.
  • Maintain current knowledge of market trends, products, and regulations to provide informed recommendations to clients.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and additional coverage needs to support client objectives and maximize account growth.
  • Document all communications, policies, and account updates in agency systems accurately and timely.
  • Assist with preparing proposals, presentations, certificates of insurance, and other client-facing materials.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a culture of collaboration and professionalism.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as an Account Manager or a similar role within the commercial insurance sector.
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license; additional licenses or certifications are advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of commercial lines insurance products, policies, and coverages.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities, with a track record of maintaining client relationships.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with insurance agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.
