Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a dynamic team. This role is integral to the organization, responsible for managing and fostering relationships with key commercial clients while providing exceptional customer service. Expertise in commercial lines insurance will be critical for assessing client needs, delivering tailored solutions, and ensuring effective account management.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of commercial clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Manage various aspects of commercial accounts, including policy renewals, endorsements, audits, and client inquiries.
  • Evaluate clients’ insurance needs and recommend customized coverages and risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers to negotiate coverage terms, pricing, and resolve issues on behalf of clients.
  • Educate clients on policy details, industry trends, and changes in coverage options.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and a high standard of client experience.
  • Maintain accurate client files, documentation, and data in line with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Identify potential opportunities to expand client accounts and cross-sell additional products or services.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging risks related to commercial insurance.
  • Mentor junior team members by providing support and sharing expertise when needed.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Commercial Lines Insurance or Account Management (senior-level experience preferred).
  • Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse portfolio of commercial clients and establish long-term relationships.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial lines products, insurance markets, and applicable regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency with insurance management software and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on client service.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Professional designations such as CIC, CPCU, or ARM are valued.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching team members.
