Job Summary

A detail-oriented Benefits Analyst is being sought to manage and evaluate employee benefit programs, ensuring offerings remain competitive and aligned with organizational goals. The role focuses on collaboration, analytical problem-solving, and strategic planning to enhance the employee benefits experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and evaluate existing employee benefits programs (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives) to ensure alignment with market trends and employee needs.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership to develop strategic recommendations for enhancing benefits programs.
  • Conduct benchmarking research to assess competitiveness and cost-effectiveness of benefits offerings.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees, providing guidance and addressing questions or concerns related to benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies regarding employee benefits.
  • Partner with benefits vendors and providers to manage enrollment processes, resolve issues, and maintain service quality.
  • Prepare and analyze benefits data and reports to support leadership decision-making.
  • Contribute to benefits communication efforts, including developing materials and hosting employee education sessions.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Proven experience as a Benefits Analyst or in a similar analytical role, preferably within HR or finance.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and present actionable insights.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills for engaging with a diverse workforce.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration systems, tools, and Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations affecting employee benefits (e.g., ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in HR or Benefits Management (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
